Luxury self catering accommodation on the south of Skye with stunning views towards the Cuillin hills, and Rhum & Canna.
Gillean House is located in an idyllic location in the Sleat peninsula, in the South of Skye. The house faces westwards to the Isle of Rhum and the islands of the Outer Hebrides, and is just yards from the seashore of Tarskavaig Bay – one of the few sandy beaches on Skye. It enjoys spectacular sunsets, with the sun dropping behind the full range of the Cuillin Hills in summer.
It can be reached in only 15 minutes from the ferry terminal in Armadale, the arrival point for the mainland ferry port of Mallaig, by a scenic route that first follows the eastern shore of Sleat, then climbs inland over the pass, to drop down beside the Gillean burn, arriving at the western coast exactly at Gillean House. Or if arriving into Skye at Kyle of Lochalsh/Kyleakin, the drive to Gillean House is some 40 minutes after crossing the Skye Bridge.
We offer dedicated off road parking for several vehicles, inside the traditional dry-stone walled garden.
