Gillean House is a 200-year-old farmhouse in Sleat on the Isle of Skye, which has been renovated to 21st century standards as a cosy self-catering accommodation, sleeping up to 8 people in comfort.
All rooms have storage heaters, plus the lounge has the latest log burning stove, and the kitchen is always cosy with its twin oven Rayburn cooker. The 2 bath/shower rooms both have under floor heating too. So Gillean is a house that can be enjoyed in high summer or the depths of winter.
There are 4 bedrooms, 3 upstairs and one downstairs, a large kitchen/diner offering both the Rayburn cooker and a ceramic hob plus electric oven, a lounge with its log burning stove, and a very large indoors “barn” attached to the kitchen, with table football for the “occasional” rainy day. Outside the “ barn” is a decked veranda, from where one can watch the sun set over sea and mountain.
